TK caught this morning's sunrise!

For a sea day we really were busy—a meeting this morning hosted by ship’s officers about our crossing, then breakfast, then the “The Voice of the Ocean—Grand Finale” competition. For the past several days, passsengers who can sing have been competing to see who would be in the final competition, much like television’s The Voice. This was my first time going, and TK opted out. I ran into new friends, Honey and MaryElena (sp) and sat with them. These two ladies are full of energy and verve!  Seven finalists each sang a song, and then the judges picked 3 for the final.  Audience members each had a device to vote with. My favorite won, “Denise” from California. She sang, “I Will Always Love You” perfectly.  She was excellent!   Friend Ann--this is something I think you should do!!

I took a few photos around the ship, had a burger (hamburger with garlic in it—no more of that) and fries, then got ready for dinner.  I really did not have the burger, then dinner right away! I was getting ready for dinner...

Deck 16--pool and movie screen

Deck 16--hot tub with people!

Tonight was formal night and we had Maine lobster.  I took a photo of the menu, but I am not sure it will translate well on the blog.

Escargot is always TK's choice

Choices are 3 vegetarian, 3 seafood,
2 poultry, 1 pork, 1 beef
The right side, "Princess Favorites" are choices every night

TK enjoyed the Chocolate Pistachio Dome

As an aside: Last Thursday I received a fraud alert text from my Erie bank, but by the time I was able to read it banks were closed on Veterans Day. I called the fraud number hotline and was told that my Visa ATM was used in 3 places: King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, another PA town on Thursday, as well as Miami on Thursday.  I denied those charges and guess what happened next—they cancelled my ATM. Fortunately, while in Kotor on Thursday, I withdrew enough euros with that ATM card for our tours the rest of the trip.

Thank goodness I have enough cash (euros and USD), TK—my alternative ATM lol, and two credit cards to cover my purchases!

Friend Chris: I meant to put your photo of the poppy you grew in the blog on Veterans Day--such a sweet photo of that lone poppy that emerged from her "ancestors" several years ago!  Will do that on the next sea day!

Friend Jim: I truly appreciate your comments! Without readers, what is a writer!

TK’s Takes:  He got rested up today. It was warmer today, but not quite enough. He was in the sun, soaking up the rays, in shorts and a t-shirt.

  1. Credit card fraud is a real pain, we found that each of us have 3 credit cards fir trips and usually at least one is in trouble and so many refuse Discover, looking at getting a fourth card soon and use any card as a debit card. Oh well enjoy ship looks great. You picked a great time to travel, old man Winter has finally awoken, and Mother Nature is still fuming at Old Man Winter for his affair with Neptune's girlfriend a mermaid, oh well enjoy.
