Sunday's beautiful sunrise!
There
isn’t much exciting to tell about spending most of the day in a lounge chair
reading a good book. We did see some
drama though. Our stateroom is right off the “Retreat Pool,” although there is
a glass wall, and we can’t just walk straight to the pool.
By
7:30 a.m., almost all the lounge chairs had towels on them, meaning people had
come out and “reserved” the chairs. TK and I headed for two empty ones about
8:15 a.m. I read my book until about
11:30 a.m. and still most of the chairs had no occupants, only towels.
I
always thought there was an unwritten cruise rule that if no one occupied a
toweled chair for an hour, it was open game. Two ladies came along, took the
towels, towel clips, and other items off two lounge chairs that had no
occupants for at least an hour and a half and sat in them. About 45 minutes later the original occupants
(for about 10 minutes), a couple, returned and I thought there was going to be
a fight. The husband sat somewhere else,
but the wife plopped herself into one of the lounge chairs she claimed was
hers, even though another lady was sitting in it. And she stayed there. For at
least an hour. Neither budged. There
were words, but no fight, thank goodness.
What
would you do??
Dear
Readers, that was the most exciting thing that happened today. And I feel bad writing about that when our
family and friends up north are battling snow, cold, and any number of
challenges. Thankfully, we are happily soaking in sunshine!
After a little sandwich for lunch, we had a premium
dessert. This is part of our package and
we can have two a day.
Can you imagine that?
We had the same package on the Med/TA Cruise
and only had one over 30 days!
TK's chocolate dessert at dinner
My Peach Melba!
Cabin Steward Joey made us a towel turtle tonight!
We haven't had a towel animal in awhile...so cute!
TK took this photo at Buc-ees.
Look at all the buc-ees!
TK's Takes: He brought a jacket this cruise for formal night--first time in awhile.
I think the pool staff should monitor chairs if there are rules, only time I leave our lounges are for lunch or bathroom, but people can be nasty, I enjoy filming them
ReplyDeleteWait, so both women were sitting in the same chair? Those desserts look fabulous!
