At Sea—near Haiti
80F, sunny!
TK caught the sunrise this morning
TK gets our morning coffee Deck 16
We are at sea with sketchy Internet—we will see
how well this plays out. There were many
options aboard the ship today and what did we do? Read and eat.
The weather is perfect, although the sea is a bit choppy.
Everyone seems to be enjoying the day, whether they are learning how to play the steel drum, watching a daytime movie (Lightyear), attending an art auction, playing bingo, watching an ice carving demonstration, getting a spa treatment, taking part in a golf putting tournament, playing pickleball, or having a basketball shootout. Those were just some of events this morning and afternoon. There were four options with music playing in various venues, an afternoon tea, and a towel folding seminar.
Many people were just eating and reading like us,
or drinking.
Tonight was another formal evening and at dinner we had Surf and Turf, with lobster and shrimp bisque as the first course. TK had escargot. You would not beleive how many people near our table had two servings of escargot. The steak has been really good, and so was the lobster. Actually, I have had no complaints about the food on this cruise. The fried shrimp at the lunch buffet was delicious too.
After dinner I quickly changed my dressy clothes back to jean capris and went to the movie with TK, Jurassic World: Dominion. I enjoyed this movie and the popcorn served on the ship is very tasty. MUTS is like going to the drive-in theater without a car—and no bugs! It is cool to see the starts and the moon, although I have not seen any constellations.
TK already started packing—I will save that for
the last day, tomorrow.
TK's Takes: He can't believe Mamma Mia was not shown on this cruise--seems like it is shown on every Princess cruise.
The food looks great and I LOVE escargot with butter and garlic
